Applications of the Mycometer tool in the IAQ industry

PRE REMEDIATION:

  • Determine and document whether a surface contain fungal growth (indicative of moisture problems) (surface samples)
  • Determine and document presence of a mould source (activated air samples)
  • Determine and document potential exposure to mould (activated air samples)
  • Determine and document fungal growth in porous materials. (cementitious materials, insulation) (bulk samples)
  • Determine and document bacterial contamination after flooding, sewage backflow or leakage, or growth on moist surfaces (surface samples)

POST REMEDIATION:

  • Perform QA/QC of surfaces cleaned for mould growth (surface samples)
  • Perform QC of cleaning for spores dispersed during remediation (activated air samples)
  • Perform QA/QC of surfaces cleaned for bacterial contamination (surface samples)
